Even if you swear you don’t like cabbage, you probably will after the first bite of this dish. It’s been cooked in cream, giving it a rich, buttery flavor, and it’s topped with bacon to add smoky crunch

Slow Cooker Irish Beef StewSlow Cooker Irish Beef Stew from Everyday Good Thinking by @hamiltonbeach

This Irish stew recipe has all the familiar flavors of a winter stew with an Irish twist thanks to the hint of beer. Serve this thick, rich stew in a bread bowl or over noodles for a hearty St. Patrick’s Day meal.

Grilled Reuben SandwichReuben Sandwiches Two Ways - On a panini grill or in a Breakfast Sandwich Maker. These are so good! (Everyday Good Thinking by @hamiltonbeach)

This famous grilled sandwich contains a stack of corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and Russian or Thousand Island dressing layered between slices of buttered rye bread. It’s typically grilled until everything is warm and melted, but we love the way the cheese melts and the bread gets toasty in our panini press.

Irish Soda BreadIrish Soda Bread from Everyday Good Thinking by @hamiltonbeach

This delicious bread has a long history for good reason: not only did it help Irish farmers sustain their energy in the fields long ago, it tastes great and is quick and easy to make. Prepare it for dinner, a potluck or brunch and be sure to serve it with a side of salted Irish butter. It’s best slathered with a generous portion.

      Irish Coffee

Irish Coffee with the BrewStation® Coffee Maker from Everyday Good Thinking, the official blog of @HamiltonBeach - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

With its dark coffee flavor and sweet brown sugar, it almost tastes like chocolate. Add whiskey and top it with whipped cream to create a warming and smooth cocktail coffee, great for a cool night. It’s the perfect accompaniment to serve alongside dessert, too. We made the St. Paddy’s Day favorite in the Hamilton Beach BrewStation®.

Slow Cooker Corned Beef and CabbageSlow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage from Everyday Good Thinking by @hamiltonbeach

Corned beef and cabbage is about as classic a St. Patrick’s Day dish as you can make. Corned beef is slow cooked and served alongside cabbage with optional ingredients like potatoes, carrots and onions. Though corned beef and cabbage is Irish at heart, it’s not something the Irish ate often back in the day. Instead, during the 18th century, the beef-producing country exported the expensive meat to neighboring countries and dined on pork, veggies and dairy instead. Who knew?

Shepherd's PieShepherd's Pie from Everyday Good Thinking, the official blog of @HamiltonBeach

Shepherd’s pie is one of those delicious comfort foods that tastes like home whether your parents made it for you as a kid or not. With savory beef, peas, corn and carrots in a rich gravy on the bottom and mashed potatoes on the top, it’s the quintessential casserole that appeals to everyone in the family because it doesn’t lean too far in any one direction. It’s comforting and warming without being too heavy, so it’s perfect for this transition to spring.

Breakfast Sandwich Maker ReubenReuben Sandwiches Two Ways - On a panini grill or in a Breakfast Sandwich Maker. These are so good! (Everyday Good Thinking by @hamiltonbeach)

Since we obviously love reuben sandwiches so much, we knew we had to make one in the Breakfast Sandwich Maker. Happily, it worked like a charm! We love this recipe for a toasty reuben that’s perfect for party snacks, game days, small hands, mid-afternoon snacks or an easy lunch. And now we’re inspired to make reuben everything: nachos, tacos, dips, pizzas…we could go on.
