Football season has kept us entertained (or depressed, depending on who your team is) for months, and the playoffs are finally here. The big game is coming soon, and those involved in fantasy football leagues are ready to award trophies to the winners. As you celebrate all-American football traditions and practice your team-assisting superstitions, you can enjoy some tried-and-true football themed snacks. Deviled eggs are a party favorite, and our twist on the presentation makes them worthy of the championship game table. This way, you can still be a winner, whether your team is moving on or not.
We created a football look using a classic deviled eggs recipe. Instead of the traditional paprika and dill, we topped the eggs with chives to create the “laces” of a football. Just trim the chives so you have one long piece and three short pieces. Place the longest chive lengthwise across the center of the deviled egg. Then, evenly place three short chives perpendicular to the first. Press down slightly to make sure they stick to the egg. Use chopped kale to create a grassy bed for the eggs that will remind everyone of a true field and prevent the eggs from falling over or sliding.
May the best team win, and may the best team be your team (or mine.) Enjoy the big game!

Just wanted everyone to beware of the Hamilton Beach single serve coffee maker (499995). Had two of them and both quit working.
