When January rolls around I usually break out my juicer and blender and try to balance out (keyword: TRY) all of those holiday treats I consumed from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve. While January is definitely high time for smoothie-making in my kitchen, so is the summertime.
This time of year I’m constantly trying to find ways to beat the heat. That includes staying as far away from the stove as possible (especially on super sweltering days). When I wake up in the summer, I’m no longer craving a stick-to-your-bones bowl of oatmeal or creamy sausage gravy for breakfast, but rather something light and refreshing. And this gorgeous green smoothie is just that.
Add pineapple chunks, cucumber, honeydew, mint leaves, and lime juice to your blender jar and pulse a few times, then blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds. The honeydew melon and cucumber are ultra hydrating while pineapple adds just the right amount of sweetness.
You’ve probably heard of green juice, but why leave green smoothies out of the mix? This smoothie combines all things green to make a drink that will cool you off while fueling your body anytime of day.
