Chocolate Brownies Dressed Up for the Holidays

Holiday baking is so much fun, and blogs and what’s better than receiving a gift of homemade goods? But sometimes, there’s not a lot of time to bake or join an intimidating cookie swap. That’s why we came up with 5 easy ways to dress up our favorite made-from-scratch chocolate brownies for the holidays. They’ll make everyone believe you’re really an elf or were trained by Mrs. Claus herself.

  1. Frozen Snowflake Brownies

Channel eternal winters, snowy kingdoms, ice princesses and hilarious snowmen with these frozen snowflake brownies. Make fudgy brownies and top them with DIY snowflake picks and a dusting of confectioners’ sugar.

  1. Peppermint Candy Cane Brownies

Crush candy canes in a food processor or food chopper, then sprinkle on fudgy brownies in the last few minutes of baking. When they are finished and still hot, add a few more sprinkles of peppermint to the tops. You don’t need to add a lot; just a little sprinkle goes a long way.

  1. White Chocolate Cranberry and Pistachio Brownies

Nothing says the holidays like red, white and green. Cranberries, white chocolate and chopped pistachios are a festive addition to fudgy brownies. Just bake the brownies, then top them with melted white chocolate morsels. While the chocolate topping is still melted, sprinkle them with dried cranberries and pistachios. When the brownies cool, the chocolate topping will create a white chocolate bark perfect for the season.

  1. North Pole Brownies

Make brownies instead of cookies for Santa’s visit this year, and truly bring out your inner elf. First, make the North Pole signposts by topping straight peppermint sticks with a red hot candy (and icing to help it stick). Then, use return address labels to print North Pole signs and attach a tiny sprig of rosemary to resemble festive pine decorations. Dust fudgy brownies with confectioners’ sugar, cut them into squares and add a North Pole sign to each brownie.

  1. Santa Hat Brownies in a Sleigh

Use a mini muffin tin to cook fudgy brownies, then top them with simple vanilla frosting and strawberries to create these adorable Santa hat brownies everyone will love. (To create a sleigh, place a few in a small, rectangular dish and place in a couple candy canes.) These Pinterest-perfect brownies are great for Santa snacks, bake sales and holiday parties.

  1. Salted Caramel Brownies

The tried-and-true flavor of salted caramel mixed with chocolate really comes to life with these easy and delicious brownies. Just bake the fudgy brownies as normal, then drizzle with your favorite caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. These are a huge crowd-pleaser.
