The Best of Hamilton Beach® Social Media in 2016

In November, I celebrated my one-year anniversary of working as a community and content specialist at Hamilton Beach. A big part of my job is monitoring our social media channels – Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and our blog, Everyday Good Thinking. On a daily basis, I read blog comments, visitor posts on Facebook, and see what you are making in your own kitchens on Instagram when you tag @HamiltonBeach. The social media team has put together some the 2016 highlights – from popular blog recipes courtesy of the Consumer Test Kitchen to hysterical, often musical (you’ll see) Instagram posts that we were tagged in this year. Here are the best of the best of our social media content from 2016.  To our audience, thanks for always keeping me on my toes and making my job so very entertaining. 9 Best Holiday Breakfasts

The holiday season is in full swing and the entryways to our homes have become non-stop revolving doors. Families and friends seem to continuously visit this time of year. Whether the family is bunking up for a few days to celebrate Christmas or your dear college roommates decide to crash for a night while they are on the East Coast for New Year’s Eve, the guest room sign rarely says vacant at your home turned B&B (it feels like that sometimes, doesn’t it?). Brownie Christmas Trees

Cookies seem to get all the attention around the holidays. I’m not complaining, cookies are one of my absolute favorite desserts (especially when they are dressed up with plenty of icing and sprinkles), but this year I want to switch things up a bit. If we can decorate cookies we can decorate brownies, right? Right.

No Wok, No Problem: Rice Cooker Fried Rice

During the holidays we seem to never leave the kitchen. The time between the Thanksgiving Day feast and Christmas dinner seems like seconds, maybe even milliseconds.  While cooking and eating tons of delicious food is part of what makes the holiday season great, it’s also somewhat (by somewhat I mean very) exhausting. We all need a little break from the kitchen now and then and you know what that means – takeout.
