3 Sheet Pan Sides Perfect for Spring

After a cold, long winter, we’re ready to welcome all things spring into the kitchen. Fresh fruits and vegetables, a lightened-up menu, bright colors – you name it.  If you’re excited to swap out winter’s hearty comfort food with a springtime menu, you’ll love these seasonal sheet pan sides. Whether you need a quick side dish for Easter brunch, a baby shower, or a weeknight dinner, these three recipes will be seasonal staples on your table.

Spicy Honey-Glazed Carrots

Carrots are one of those vegetables that are synonymous with springtime. Whether the Easter Bunny is munching on one or they’re baked into a divine homemade carrot cake, there’s no shortage of carrots this time of year. These roasted carrots are the perfect springtime side. They’ve got a little kick to them thanks to the sriracha in the glaze. Top with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro and serve them whole for a beautiful presentation. Orange you glad it’s finally spring?

Asparagus, Prosciutto, & Swiss Roll-Ups

Asparagus begins to pop up on menus and in kitchens this time of year. Whether you use it in salads, on brunch menus, or in spring soup, you can’t go wrong with this spring-green veggie. To make these roll-ups, fill crescent rolls with a tasty mixture of mayo and mustard, asparagus, prosciutto (you could use deli ham if you have it on hand), and swiss cheese. They bake in the toaster oven in only 15-20 minutes. Serve these roll-ups  with a little honey mustard for dipping as a simple snack, party appetizer, or side dish.

Parmesan Peas

Bright green peas are a seasonal ingredient we can’t get enough of (they’re called spring peas for a reason). Whether you’re tossing them into macaroni & cheese, making a vibrant green soup, whipping up this simple side, your spring menu is sure to be pea-nomenal. Add these tasty parmesan peas to your rotation. They cook in only 15 minutes in your Hamilton Beach® toaster oven and are sure to become your go-to side dish recipe this spring.
