How to Make Cilantro Compound Butter
Compound butter sounds like something fancy that would take a long time to make. Something you might bring out for special occasions or holidays or when you host your best friend’s baby shower. It doesn’t sound like something you might prepare for a family dinner on a weeknight or when the baby is crying and the dog won’t leave the kitchen. Compound butter just sounds like work.
The truth is, compound butter is incredibly easy and only takes a minute or two of prep work. Our favorites involve simple, straightforward herbs and spices you can use on multiple dishes. Today, we’re making a cilantro butter we think will pair perfectly with fresh summer corn on the cob. It would also be great with toasted bread, potatoes, chicken, shrimp or pork.
