Is a Memorial Day cookout – or any cookout for that matter – complete without hamburgers? We don’t think so. We’ve compiled our 5 favorite burger variations to help you menu plan for cookouts from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Mexican Burger

These burgers are spiced up with cumin and jalapenos to create a Mexican spin on the traditional burger. Top with slices of fresh avocado and your favorite salsa and serve with tortilla chips for a south-of-the-border entree.
Basic Burger
This Basic Burger is just that – basic. Sometimes it’s best to leave off all the bells and whistles and let the meat do the talking. Ground chuck, salt, and pepper is all you need to perfect this recipe. Eat plain or dress this burger up with the toppings of your choice.
Grilled Greek Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce
We took a nod from the Greeks when creating this delicious burger recipe. Instead of a hamburger bun, we opted for pita bread. Instead of ketchup and mustard, we were inspired by traditional tzatziki sauce, made from thick Greek yogurt, cucumber, mint and dill. Serve this burger alongside hummus and pita chips to put a Mediterranean spin on your backyard barbecue.
Grilled Teriyaki Pineapple Burgers
You can still grill a mean burger – even without the “ham.” These Grilled Teriyaki Pineapple Burgers combine marinated chicken breasts, grilled pineapple, provolone cheese and lime aioli for a lighter, extremely flavorful take on a run-of-the-mill hamburger.
Spicy Turkey Burger with Avocado Shallot Relish

If you’re a Parks and Recreation fan like I am, you know that Ron Swanson once said that turkey can never beat cow – but this burger might prove even Ron otherwise. These spicy turkey burgers are topped with avocado shallot relish and served on wheat buns. Trust me, none of your guests will leave before asking you for this recipe.
